$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install kcm-touchpad 

kcm-touchpad is installed in your system.

Make ensure the kcm-touchpad package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kcm-touchpad *

You will get with kcm-touchpad package name, version, architecture and description in a table

kcm-touchpad package basic information:
